It’s only fitting that we once again dive into the dark abyss of Charlie Brooker’s twisted imagination to explore technology’s impact on humanity. Who needs sunshine and rainbows when you have a beautiful medley of dysfunction, darkness, and dystopia?
Brooker, the mastermind behind the hit anthology series, told SFcrowsnest that Season 6 will be the most unpredictable one yet. The man who has singlehandedly made us question the fabric of our reality and the gadgets we rely on has decided that the show needed a bit of a makeover. And let’s be honest, who are we to complain? The star-studded cast for Season 6 includes Aaron Paul, Salma Hayek Pinault, Zazie Beetz, and many more disgustingly talented actors who, according to Brooker, “frankly have no right to exist.” Well, if we’re going down the rabbit hole of technological despair, we might as well do it with the best of the best, right?
A teaser for the season promises even more violence and a higher production value. How lovely – the end of the world has never looked so good! And with the addition of “Ms. Marvel” showrunner Bisha K. Ali as an executive producer, we’re certain that this season will be a cinematic feast for the eyes, just before our souls are crushed under the weight of our technologically dependent lives.
