The prologue shows what happened to Dr. Elizabeth Shaw and her synthetic friend David after the events of Prometheus.
Set aboard the Engineer vessel, Dr. Shaw repairs David as they continue their search for humanity’s creators with a little trip offworld to the home planet of the Engineers.
