Ahsoka: the next Star Wars saga unfolds on Disney+ (trailer).

Here we go again, far, far away in the galaxy, the Star Wars saga continues to… well, saga. This time, Disney+ has a spin-off from The Mandalorian, called Ahsoka, and we’re not talking about a high fiber breakfast cereal.

The series zooms in on Ahsoka Tano, whose CV includes “former Jedi Padawan”, “apprentice to Anakin Skywalker”, and “frequent saver of galaxies”. She’s investigating a new threat that’s shown up since the Empire toppled. Or maybe the Empire just left the back door unlocked on its way out.

Rosario Dawson wears the tentacle headgear this time as Ahsoka Tano. You might remember her from The Mandalorian, or perhaps from that anime-like show, Star Wars: The Clone Wars. Oh, and there’s going to be a younger Ahsoka too, because who doesn’t love a flashback?

We’ve got other characters popping up as well, like Sabine Wren, the graffiti artist who happens to be an expert in weapons and explosives. As you do. Then there’s Anakin Skywalker, who apparently couldn’t resist another round of Force chokes and galaxy domination. They’ve even convinced Lars Mikkelsen to reprise his Rebels role of Grand Admiral Thrawn, because the Empire’s retirement benefits clearly aren’t cutting it.

The series is set to run for eight episodes, so no binging till you drop, folks. Prepare for epic space battles, philosophical debates about the Force, and probably a lot of tentacle hair jokes. Catch it all on Disney+ starting August 23, 2023.

Get ready for more lightsabers, interstellar politics, and aliens with hairstyles that defy both gravity and common sense. And let’s not forget the catchphrase that’s probably going to be on everyone’s lips: “May the Force be… oh, forget it, you know the drill.”
